Handover Ceremony

Handover Ceremony on Sunday 5 May 2013

We reached Islamabad and had a day to relax and enjoy the capital. The hotel was wonderful especially after accumulating all the dust from Balochistan.

Our team leaders were fantastic, especially our Project Manager who managed this trip extremely well. There were loads of hiccups and that man managed everything very well. The journey was not perfect, the Ambulances did have some issues and there was no mechanical backup (other than the breakdown service in Europe) but our Project Manager stayed behind, made sure everyone was okay. I think he barely slept for all these 15 days. He made this trip a success and made us remember this for the rest of our lives.

On the handover ceremony we saw the Ambulance staff who have been trained for first aid and will have a full paramedic training as well. We were all issued with a certificate of participation.

The cause is great and will help save lives. Muslim Hands mentioned that they have never stopped anything they started. I hope they do the same for this network. I hope to see the Ambulance network growing and hope it inspires others to contribute in this sector of emergency healthcare.

Some pictures from the handover ceremony.
