We had a press conference at the Red Crescent Society, Qom, Iran and we left at around mid-day. Iran is mainly a desert with very devalued currency, £20 makes you a millionaire. There were some very nice shrines and mosques.
Today we had a team meeting where the team leaders convinced most of us to take a flight from Iran to Islamabad via Qatar. The plan was to drop the vehicles at the Iran-Pakistan border and the local drivers will drive it through to Islamabad. From the border, we would take a coach to Mashhad, Iran for the flight. This was all because of security concern in Balochistan. This plan was discarded the next day because of border clearance issues.
We went to a restaurant for dinner and went for fueling up and it took over 1.5 hours to fill our Ambulances up.
Iran has this strange setup of fueling. You need a card to fuel up at Iranian's pump. I think you can still fill up but at a higher price. There is also an issue with diesel which is hardly available so we made sure we filled up when we could. Iranian petrol prices are dead cheap, few pences per liter. Iranian people get a fuel allowance and we saw a lot of people selling petrol at the roadside, I have heard its not good quality.

Since our start off, we have done 4,000 miles |
Can't forget this petrol station. I actually dozed off whilst waiting for diesel, it took over 1.5 hours |
